Of all the Christmas seasons that I’ve ever celebrated, I feel that this year is especially special because it’s a jubilee year for me and my loved ones! Not everything is smooth sailing but I have Jesus with me and that is all I ever need. I can’t imagine not having Him in my life and I’ll have to say if it’s not because of prayers and faith, I’ll probably won’t have a contented Christmas as it is now…
It’s weird that we put on so much emphasis on the tangible things in life. But the ‘real’ fact is we are all permanent spiritual beings living temporarily in our physical body. Nothing in this world last, I’m sure everyone learns that early enough. No matter how perfect a home is, soon it will be gone, family members left, friends comes and goes….there’s only one thing which remains and that’s our faith, our anchor in the stormy and temporary world that we have to go through before everything is over.
During these times, I am reminded of the bible verses written by King Solomon, the wisest man ever lived….he reminded us that while we get so busy with the different seasons of life, in actual fact, God is in control of everything and we are nothing but mere mortals that fit into his large intricate puzzle of creations…
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
What do workers gain from their toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. -Ecclesiastes 3:1-11
Yes, indeed it is time to dance for me after much mourning in the past, a time to celebrate not just because its Christmas, but I need you to know that despite all and whatever that is going your way, be encourage that it will all come to pass and that He is in control! Lastly Happy Holidays!
